Looking at the story of Rahab, we see how she was justified through her works in her faith in the same way Abraham was.
Rahab's life reveals to us three important things. First, it reveals the scandalous grace of God. His grace is not limited to one type of person, but is freely given to even the lowest of people. God loves everyone. God's grace is irresistible and He is looking for you.
Second, she feared and revered the Lord. She heard of the things God had done, and risked everything, including her life, to follow the Lord. Living faith risks everything to follow the Lord.
Finally, she risked it all for the spread of God's glory. She was a hero and saved the spies of the Lord from their pursuers. She believed God and risked everything to help the people the Lord had sent. When she was delivered and escaped the coming destruction, she would join the Israelites, marry an Israelite, and eventually be in the genealogy of Jesus Christ.
God's mercy and love falls on who He wants to love, and His scandalous grace is for all. As a believer, everything belongs to the Lord- your wallet, your marriage, your time, everything. Are you willing to risk everything to walk with God?
